In Calheta there are 3 houses, the first to be built was The Cabana, a house entirely made of recycled wooden pallets and bark of tree and over a big water tank. The Tree House is a unique piece of art. It is a place where even corners have a special touch. It is the place in which it’s possible to sleep inside art and beauty allied with sustainability and design. The house was built with recycled materials such as, bottles, tiles and car glass in an embellished way. Some walls where risen with almost zero cement. All areas have a source of natural light and the room has an astonishing Tree of life painted on the wall in which all family members and even friends gave a physical contribution.

The last but not least, The Chest, another original cottage with a name representing a house full of small treasures.

Tap water from these houses is perfectly drinkable.
